Pakistan won the third and final T20I in another exciting game against England by only five runs to level the series 1-1. Like previous match Mohammad Hafeez played a lead role with his outclass knock of 86. He remained unbeatable till the end and was declared player of the match as well as player of the series.
England won the toss and elected to field first after which Pakistan set a target of 191 at the loss of four wickets as Mohammad Hafeez posted his highest score in T20I career. Another shining star Haider Ali also managed to score a brilliant fifty in his debut match. The team’s bowling side got full advantage of experienced Wahab Riaz who grabbed two wickets in the match and also blocked the later onslaught of a capable England side through his strong line and length particularly in second last over of the contest. Shaheen Shah Afridi snatched two wickets as well while Haris and Imad took one each.
From England MM Ali was the highest scorer with 61 runs followed by Banton who scored 46. The match winning player and the team’s skipper Eoin Morgan became prey on just 10 runs in a terrible mix up with Banton who turned down, the desire of run by the skipper, late which allowed Babar Azam to gather the ball quickly for taking this golden wicket in a run out and he made no mistake. In English bowling Jordan took two wickets whereas Curran and MM Ali got one each.
