Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in outclass batting display helped Pakistan to beat South Africa in third T20I by chasing a huge target of 203 runs. Pakistan scored 205 at the loss of just one wicket with 12 balls remaining.
Babar scored 122 on just 59 deliveries before giving his wicket at the team’s total of 197 to Lizaad Williams on the fouth ball of 18th over. Fakhar Zaman finished the game on the last two balls of the same over by smashing two boundaries for four. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 73.
Earlier, South Africa made 203 at the loss of five wickets. The Proteas openers, Janneman Malan and Aiden Markram, scored fifties for their side with individual score of 55 and 63, respectively. George Linde added 22 runs to the total while Klaasen scored 15. Dussen (34) and Phehlukwayo (11) were on the crease till last ball of their innings.
From Pakistan bowling side Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets whereas Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf got one each.
