Pakistan clinched Test series against Zimbabwe and won the second Test match also in an emphatic fashion by defeating the host side by an innings and 147 runs. Pakistan declared its innings at 510/8 after the guest team won the toss and elected to bat first.
Abid Ali’s double century (215) was supported by Azhar Ali (126) and Nauman Ali (97) to reach the mega total. Blessing Muzarabani who gave 82 runs in his 29 overs remained the most successful bowler from Zimbabwe as he took the wickets of Babar Azam, Fawad Alam and Azhar Ali.
Zimbabwe in its first innings scored only 132 before the whole team was sent packing by the Pakistani bowlers. Regis Chakabva (33) was the lead scorer followed by Donald Tiripano (23) and Luke Jongwe (19). In second innings, Chakabva again played impressively from his side by scoring 80 runs followed by Brendan Taylor 49 and Luke Jongwe (37). The team lost all its wickets at the total of 231.
In the first innings Hasan Ali got five wickets while in second innings Shaheen Shah Afridi and Nauman Ali both grabbed five wickets each.
Abid Ali declared as player of the match while Hasan Ali was awarded with the title of player of the series.
